Everyday life with diabetes is often tedious and exhausting – and that’s exactly what motivates our work at mySugr. We specialise in app-based, all-around care for people with diabetes – made by people with diabetes. Here’s what we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Senior Intellectual Property Manager with experience in developing products or software or digital related solutions, preferably as part of a project team. As an expert of subject matter you will work on multiple projects, in alignment with several departments, and provide IP support in the research, development and launch of products & services of mySugr and Roche Diabetes Care. You are familiar with patents as well as tools for analyzing patents. You use independent judgement to determine methods, techniques and procedures to obtain results and will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our quality system.
You will have a considerable part in providing IP landscapes, IP scouting, IP harvesting and will be critical for the technical analysis involved in clearing (FTO) products/services to minimize the risk associated with bringing new innovations to the marketplace in frequent update cycles.
To support mySugr’s innovative culture you will handle diverse and often sensitive issues, where analysis may require in-depth evaluation of many factors and aligning activities with Patent Attorneys and R&D. Furthermore, you will serve as a liaison between Patent Attorneys and engineers to analyze invention disclosures and to support filing/prosecuting patent applications. You will also provide support for third-party conflicts, including post-grant patent challenges and litigation. You will be encouraged to network with personnel within and outside your area of expertise, as well as some involving key decision makers to carry out responsibilities.
Our new Senior IP Manager will be based at the mySugr office in Vienna, Austria (with initial training in Mannheim, Germany) and will report to the Associate General Patent Counsel in Indianapolis (US) holding the position of Global Head of IP Management at Roche Diabetes Care.
